There is no way at all. It's pretty ridiculous. I tried for a long time. People got very mad at me when I drove through christmas light displays when they ask you to turn off your lights as a courtesy....Does anyone know how or if the headlights can be turned off at night, without turning off the car? You can't turn them off with the dial, but maybe there's something else that can be done?
+1. That's literally just asking for trouble.I would love to know WHY you would even want to drive around with the headlights off? That is exceptionally dangerous! The risk of someone "forgetting" to turn on their headlights is far outweighed by the system simply turning them on, automatically.
You are a ****ing GENIUS! Thank you!Turn off the car. Engage the parking brake. Make sure your lights are turned to the off position. Turn the car back on the daytime running lights should remain off. The daytime running lights don’t come back on till the parking brake is released.
In qx30 USA with LED lights it doesn't work. I only have the switch AUTO. After pressing the Start Engine button 1x (to switch on the radio), the daytime running lights come on.Turn off the car. I took my car to an electrician, he tried to connect the Xentry, but it did not read the carOne more thing... If anyone knows I got next problem and doesn't know if its ok... If its night and vehicle is turn on with lights in auto position (daylight + headlights is turning on) via the dial switch. And then I need to turn it off and pulling the dial to daytime running lights - its actually nothing happens, headlights are still working and to turn it off I had to turn off the engine. If anybody mentioned something like this? UPD. Deal with this - its possible to recode. As You know most of staff we got with MB. And yeap this fitches are also from MB logic - but MB doesn't had cut menu to set the lighting in manual dimmer mode (You can set via the menu priority of dimmer or sensor - its set sensor in priority with factory settings). But Nissan just cut it from menu... So( its possible to set priority of dimmer switch up of the sensor but it can be done with StarAsist Xentry software block ( Also with the ECO mode memory fitches, etc.
it needs to choose as gla x156 4matic*I took my car to an electrician, he tried to connect the Xentry, but it did not read the car
One example is that you need to dim/turn off your headlights when approaching the gate of a military installation. What works on the Q50 probably would not work on the QX30, unless it's just a coincidence. The systems are completely different (Infiniti/Nissan designed the Q50 system, but the QX30 system was designed by Mercedes Benz).

thumsUP* just on mark!!! while the March, 22 while in UA our city was under attack and its needs my wife with son leave - a lot o checklines with military forces and just armed volunteers / rangers, actualy over 50 while she took to Poland - with this headlights it was really trouble. While everybody stressed it was rather hard to explain in whole days traffic jams - that its cant be off... There was a few cases when they prepare to shoot it off (One example is that you need to dim/turn off your headlights when approaching the gate of a military installation.
