I have a 2017 qx30 awd premium and I am trying to buy a boat and wondering the towing capacity for the vehicle

Officially, I think the QX30 may have a “NO towing” rating. Personally, I would not tow regularly with a QX30 and I would NEVER tow a heavy trailer — it’s too much for the DCT.

However, there are aftermarket hitches available. They claim a 3,500-4,500 capacity — but that is for the HITCH and not for the vehicle.

I would only use such a hitch for a small bike carrier. If you need to regularly tow a boat then I’d use a vehicle better suited for that, imo.

I don't agree with the don't tow at all sediment but I would stick to towing less than 1500lbs only and also short distances. What are u trying to tow?

A Sun Fish, or small Catamaran.

The GLA250's is 750kg un-braked, 1800kg braked. The GLA also features an ESP Trailer Stabilisation program that is active above 65km/h, which our QX30's would undoubtedly feature as well.

As to the DCT's suitability, take into account the cautions and you'll be fine!
