I love my QX30S. Even though it’s the top priced version, there are still options to purchase that the original owner did not get.
Does anyone have the interior ambient light package? That is something I thought I would be able to do myself as soon as I find the wires ( for the foot well and the front doors ) I had no idea that there was also an option to have lights inside the door handles and probably a couple others that I’m not remembering.
I love the suede seats but I wish it had a suede headliner also!
I also wish mine had heated suede seats and I’m still looking into that as well but it’s not as urgent here in the desert.
This isn’t an option but are there splash under-covers that protect the whole underside of the engine / transmission, or just the oil pan? Mine does not have a splash cover for the bottom of the transmission and I’m not sure if that’s normal or not?
I think that’s it for now 🙂

  1. The interior ambient lighting is great. The interior feels very upscale with it.
  2. The QX30S seats look amazing. To be honest, the QX30 Premium seats aren't the most comfortable and certainly look just like any other seats. However, heated seats are a must for me and the wife.
  3. My QX30 doesn't have the engine cover/splash guard(?) either. It's such a weird omission. I'm leasing this vehicle and I anticipate that the engine bay will look very dusty for the next owners.
The only option my car does not have is the Cafe Teak(?) option. The wood inlays for that option are much better than the fingerprint magnetic gloss black plastic trim. Also, I liked the silver cap side mirrors.

Thanks for the reply. How many little LED lights are there for the Ambient package? Footwells, Doors, inner door handles(?) is there one in the seats in the 'hole' between the headrest and the seat back?
The sport seats are so comfortable...I haven't sat in one that wasn't a sport model, but the photos of them look nice.
So weird about the under-cover splash guards! I need to fashion one to cover the transmission. I have seen some fabricated out of thin aluminum (on other Infinitis) that might be nice too.
I don't mind the gloss black (I keep a few microfiber cloths in my car and polish it up after I smudge it!) But I would have really preferred carbon fiber...black or silver...like the CLA45 AMG
I also LOVE the cars with the silver mirrors! My car is Blade Silver, so my mirrors are gloss black. I wouldn't mind those in carbon fiber either!

I have the Café Teak package and I have LED lights on all 4 inner door handles, driver and passenger footwells, backseat footwells the lights are mounted under the front seats and the passenger side dash board has a LED strip tucked up in the middle where the 2 dash pieces meet. The Mercedes version of our sport seats I have seen the lights in the head rests, not sure if Infiniti has them.

You can also adjust the brightness of the lights through the instrument cluster menu. It might not just be a plug and play, you might have to have the program to run the LED package...idk.
