Could there be a more fitting place to debut the car Infiniti expects to push it into global success then the Geneva Motorshow?
Infinitis core market currently is North America, they dabble in Europe yes, but outside of the Q60 most European consumers are indifferent. Nissan recently introduced the Infiniti brand to Japan, which may or may not help boost its global credibility.
Regardless, its expected that the QX30 will spawn an expansion in their dealer network.
Roland Krueger, president of Infiniti Motor Co. worldwide:
"It's a very good business proposal for dealers who are interested in investing in dealerships with Infiniti of Europe, this model gives us access to a volume base that we couldn't previously offer to our business partners. We're seeing investors come forward to talk to us now."
Perhaps spurred on by the success of its sister car the GLA, Infiniti is certainly looking for lightning in a bottle.
Infiniti officials used the Geneva show as an opportunity to discuss dealer opportunities with retailers, giving them a first hand glimpse at the new concept, amid promises of grandeur surely. Compact CUV's are booming in NA, but already in Europe they represent one of the larger volume segments, which would give Infiniti an opportunity to get two birds stoned at once. Shore up their lackluster European dealer network, while simultaneously entering a previously ignored segment...
