My mother’s 2019 QX30 Luxe has the front and rear cameras and all the proximity sensors, but does not have PARK ASSIST... as far as I know. She isn't the best at parallel parking And could use all the help she can get!

Since her car has all the sensors, can the car easily be upgraded to have PARK ASSIST? It it just a software thing or a hardware thing? Or maybe she has it but it isn’t turned on???

I'm not sure if the Luxe package includes it, but here's a video on how to use it.

After watching the video, I realized it might be more than just a software upgrade. I totally didn’t think about the auto steering...

The "Luxe" trim for 2019 did not have Park Assist available. For the 2019 model year you'd have to go with the Essential trim and also add the ProASSIST package, which would get you:
  • Lane Departure Warning
  • Intelligent Cruise Control
  • High Beam Assist
  • Intelligent Park Assist

I got a good offer of QX30 without park assistance, I am also interested in this thread but I don’t believe the thread question has been answered.

Of course QX30 “Luxe” doesn’t have park assist, but the question is if it can be upgraded via software.

I don’t know anything about Infiniti, but as an example I can say if you have a BMW with no voice control, you can enable it just buying and loading the appropriate code.

In general terms, this sort of upgrades used to be possible if no additional hardware is required. Oppositely to other cars QX30 park assist has de advantage of no adding extra controls to console. Not sure about power steering, but I am sure it is valid as it is.

So, here there is almost same thread question:
Is it possible to enable park assist but buying/loading codes as other cars do?

My concern would be if you need to buy any other parts like sensors, and if the car has the software for the feature itself.
