I'm in BBB Arbitration with Nissan right now. I sent them the Motor Vehicle Defect notification paperwork giving them a final 10 business days to repair the defect, and they acknowledged receipt, but so far, have chosen not to inspect the vehicle or make a final repair attempt.
For you guys that have the issue, what trim do you have? Mine is a Luxury trim, Manufactured in August 2016. I've had QX30 Loaners while this has been in and out of the shop and those have been the premium trims, and I haven't had the issue.
We have the premium and are having the problem.
Did you ever hear back from Nissan regarding arbitration?
In PA, last I checked for lemon law claims, the repair has to be attempted a minimum of 3 times and it has to be a safety issue.
We had the screen go black on us again last week when shifting into reverse. After explaining to the dealer in the past, they asked when it happens again we document with video what was happening and the state and recent history of everything. We took a video explaining what happened...shifted to reverse after a 45 minute ride, sat radio playing, iPhone connected to BT but not streaming music, screen on map, etc. Initially, after sending the video to the dealer, they wanted us to bring the car in for a few days while they worked with Infiniti engineers, but they called back to get clarification on the model, version, etc of the iPhone. They said they no longer need our car as the engineers think they know what's happening and they're working on a software update. They'll let us know when it's available.
So for others that have had the screen go blank...do you also have an iPhone connected to your QX30? In our case, it's an iPhone 7 Plus on AT&T, running the latest software (but has happened with a few versions now). That seems to be their area of focus for this issue.
