Knocking sound from front right

Has anyone else experienced a knocking sound from the front right strut area of their QX30 when reversing and their steering wheel is in full lock (right hand down)? If so, what did it end up being?

I've had this sound since the car wad 6 months old (the car is 18 months old) and Infiniti have looked at it many times and have now had it for 3 weeks and after supposedly replacing most of the vehicle the knocking sound is still there, so Infiniti Australia have just deemed it a characteristic of the car because they can't find the fault and will not do anything further to find the fault. I haven't picked up my car from the dealership yet so I don't have a list of parts that have been replaced yet. Any insight into shared experiences would be extremely helpful.

I took my QX30 to a parking lot, this morning, and did some testing. No "knocking" sound when reversing at full lock.

I'd say this is not normal, and not a quirk of the QX30 chassis/suspension.

Have they checked the mounting bolts on the steering rack to ensure they are properly torqued? Have they checked the tie rod ends for proper torque and excess play?

Are you running OEM tires?
I'm running OEM tyres, still the original ones from when I purchased the car.

So the dealer to date has replaced the shock absorber, replaced the driver side top shock mount, inspected driver's side engine mount, rear engine mount, sway bar, sway bar links, both front lower control arms, subframe and greased all mounting points where meets chasis and inspected steering rack and steering rack ends and apparently no faults were found during all of those inspections.
I had the same issue, added a strut bar, replaced the shocks and struts to Bilstein B8 and Eibach springs for the GLA45. Problem gone. Lol

What are the specs for your wheels/tires? Did you have any problems with the hub centric rings?
I never did find out what the actual problem was. I was on my way to another mechanic for a 2nd opinion and hopefully an answer when I got t-boned at a roundabout and my QX30 was written off.

They are 19x8.5 +32 offset. No issues whatsoever. 235 40 19 tires

Problem solved then?
