First off...does the 2017 models have the REPLACE AUX BATTERY LIGHT? I still have not seen it in my car....but I did get the orange check engine light today.

My car was doing the radio popping off when the car restarts at the light thing but recently it graduated to not cranking back at all at the light and the red font warning saying not to shift and go to dealer yadda yadda. So i have been driving with the @A button off.

But this morning was a rare moment with no traffic in LA so i decided to drive with the @A on. Now at the first light it turned off like normal and wouldn't turn on same issue.
Now at the next light it turned off but i accidently released the brake almost instantly and it cranked back up!!! But then the check engine light came on. Then next light same thing...car would not crank back on, red message, re start car. Check engine still on.

Do you guys think this is 100% the AUX BATTERY? Only reason I have concerns it might be something else is no AUX battery light coming on and how it cranked back up when it was off for just a second today. Please help asap. I told my dealer to order one for me...only costs like 260 plus 15% off. Thanks in advance.

I kinda had a feeling the aux battery was fine and I was right. I still haven't got the aux battery malfunction light like the others They tested it multiple times and it kept testing at 940....the dealership didn't have time to drive it and do a whole electric diagnostic because I wanted tires n alignment done first so I will have to come back. Really doesn't bother me...just gotta remember to turn the A button off. Now I'm really wondering what it could be!!!!???!!!

Not sure if this helps. I had a similar issue. Here is how it went:

1. Ran out of gas just short of pump, so started pushing car.
2. Jumped into car while it was rolling then closed drivers door. Car went from neutral to park (by itself) when I closed the door while rolling at about 1 MPH. Little bit of grinding too - ouch.
3. Filled tank, went to start car and it gave me the same warning as you "warning saying not to shift and go to dealer yadda yadda". Mine would not start. I also could not put it in neutral (to move it out of the way).
4. Called for tow to dealer. An hour later, the truck arrived. It went into neutral fine. I am thinking there was some sort of timeout for the lockout. I also think I could have started the car fine.
5. Dealer said it was the AUX battery. When it starts to go bad, these kind of warnings come up. He said it starts fine.
6. I think it would have started fine for me and I could have been fine. I had the battery checked (at auto parts store) and it was fine.
7. I don't think the dealer did anything. I doubt if he even checked the AUX battery. He gave me some other things that needed to be done - general maintenance items from owners manual. Probably generic items printed out for them.
8. The engine check light has been on for some other issues. However, those were not on his report of things to fix - just the generic items. Kind of makes me wonder if he even looked much at the car. They charged me something like $200 for diagnostics.
9. I probably will change the AUX battery out anyway. Basically looks like a motorcycle battery, but with a Mercedes price.
10. I did not see any AUX Battery light. However, the manual states there is a related error message (which I did not have):

[Auxiliary Battery Malfunction]
The auxiliary battery for the automatic transmission is no longer being charged. 1. It is recommended you visit an INFINITI retailer at the next opportunity. 2. Until then, press the P (Park) button before you switch off the engine. 3. Before leaving the vehicle, apply the electric parking brake.
