Infiniti President Roland Krueger expects that the QX30 crossover will go a long way in boosting the brand's sales in both North American and Europe. It will also help to expand Infiniti's dealership network outside North America.

The crossover is planned or release in 2016. That release will be preceded by the launch of the Q30 compact, which will happen late this year.

Infiniti currently has no entry in the compact crossover market, so the launch of the QX30 should go a long way towards buffing up Infinti's sales.

Infiniti will be adding many dealerships in Europe in the next year, especially Germany where it currently has only 6 dealerships.

Considering what is required of a vehicle these days to appeal to a wide range of people, the QX30 is it, even more so with Infinti's new design language, giving it a much more sportier edge. That sportier edge could attract some first time CUV owners, people coming from coupes and sedans.

If the Mercedes GLA can do well in the North American market then I don't see why the QX30 should do the same, and of course abroad.

Can't wait to see what sales will be like come time for these to go on sale.

Good point.

A strong selling product like that is a good indication of how in demand such a vehicle is.

Infiniti should do well here.
