The only downside to our bright fancy ooh ahh lights...can't just go to pep boys n pop a bulb in.
Yup, that's the one downside. The only downside to our bright fancy ooh ahh lights...can't just go to pep boys n pop a bulb in.
Where are u located? I heard of a couple places that say they specialize in everything LEDs here in the L.A. area.
Put it on my list for the dealer, $2,000.00 to replace the whole headlight assembly, Others are failing so I'll wait for the cheap fix. ThanksWhere are u located? I heard of a couple places that say they specialize in everything LEDs here in the L.A. area.
I’m having the same halo dimming issue on my 2017, 52K miles. Missed my warranty window by two months (they wouldn’t extend to get me a new lamp). It’s strange for LED’s to dim to a warmer color (my halo is now yellow)…that’s not how LED’s work. LED’s dim same color, unless yellow-colored LED chips are designed as part of the lamp. I suspect something else is at play here. The eyebrow light over my drivers side head light is going dim. Is there a bulb I can change or do I need a whole assembly. 2017,QX30, 95K miles. So far great car, knock on wood!
Mine went dim right after my warrant went out. Also I wasn't going to pay $1500 to have them just change out my head lights also cause its still getting power and just figured I would look into it myself to see if there is a loose wire. The eyebrow light over my drivers side head light is going dim. I believe it is more of an LED bar rather than a bulb. You'd most likely have to replace the whole headlight to solve your issue.Hi, I'm in Italy and bought a QX30 4 months ago, 2016, 85k km. After a few days I noticed the same eyebrow problem in the daylight on the driver's side. I don't understand if it is an LED bar or if there is a single light and if it can be repaired without replacing the whole headlight. Has anyone solved it somehow?
Hang in there!!.. I'm working the problem now, Struggling with trans pan gasket screws right now,I did the spark plugs. The daylight running light is LED,diodes must have a resister they are either working or not working, these go dim its a softer white of lower intensity, grounding or the loss of a resister some where on a circuit board. All this is a guess, but a good one. 95K miles on a 2017Hi, I'm in Italy and bought a QX30 4 months ago, 2016, 85k km. In an Italian Facebook group dedicated to our car a user described how he solved the problem: replacing the "LED Daytime Running Light Control Module B010391-B" with one bought on AliExpress less than $ 100.Hang in there!!.. WOW,Golden Information,Thank You,Makes total sense. Its no small task to remove bumper and headlight assembly. I'm changing the transmission filters(2) right now and have to remove a air box bracket that is held on with three large bolts on the frame rail by this same fender well cover,so this is timely as well. Thank you for shearing,I hope to do the same for a fellow QX30 mechanic in the future. In an Italian Facebook group dedicated to our car a user described how he solved the problem: replacing the "LED Daytime Running Light Control Module B010391-B" with one bought on AliExpress less than $ 100.

You have to disassemble the wheel arches, the upper part of the bumper and the headlight. Once the headlight has been disassembled, just unscrew, connect the new control unit and clean the pipe in the part that will surely be burned by the LED. If you do not remove all the burnt you will not be able to reach the original brightness even when the control unit is replaced.
Since there are so many of us who have this problem, we wrote to the Infiniti Quality Center to have it considered a factory defect and start a recall campaign. So far, the answer has been no.
Speaking of disassembling, I also have another problem that many have told me have had: the pump does not send water to the wipers. Someone told me about a filter to be cleaned, near the pump, reachable by detaching the left wheel pass to access the water tank, detach something I did not understand and clean the filter. Even if off topic, has it happened to anyone?WOW,Golden Information,Thank You,Makes total sense. Its no small task to remove bumper and headlight assembly. This is my second new Infiniti I bought a G35sdn in 03, The first time I had a crank sensor fail Infiniti wanted $500 for an out of warranty repair. There are three on the VQ35DE they cost $10 each, I keep extras in the glove box as I have one go bad every year 280K miles(Great Car). Nissan told me I'm on my own the day the warranty ran out. Great cars, they just are a heartless company when it comes to warranty. I guess that's why the CEO is a international criminal !WOW,Golden Information,Thank You,Makes total sense. Not yet,but if it happens to one chances are it will happen to all. I do know you need to push the button really hard to pass a detent at the bottom of its travel. It seemed odd to me in the way it moves several mm and then you have to overcome a detent. I'm not saying this is your issue, just something I noticed on mine. The QX30 in the states is an odd ball for Infiniti dealer techs,it was only three years they hope they just go away, I get the impression they don't like working on them. Mercedes won't touch them either as it doesn't have a Benz serial number.Speaking of disassembling, I also have another problem that many have told me have had: the pump does not send water to the wipers. Which button? The one on the lever to operate the wiper? I feel the pump working but the water does not reach the tubes of the nozzles.I do know you need to push the button really hard to pass a detent at the bottom of its travel. And you are in a big country like the United States! Infiniti has left Italy and other European countries, there are only very few Nissan workshops left that service Infiniti. Too bad because it's a beautiful car!The QX30 in the states is an odd ball for Infiniti dealer techs,it was only three years they hope they just go away, I get the impression they don't like working on them.
