I have a 2017 AWD Premium with Cafe Teak package with the door chrome door handles. I've noticed some pics on here and looked at my local dealer and noticed some door handles are painted the body color.


Curious anybody know why some are painted and some are chrome?

My guess is Sport (painted) vs AWD (chrome) I have a AWD and have Chrome as well.

I just noticed that only the top portion of the handle is chrome, the rest of the handle is body colored. Being 6'4" I could only see the top handle and I assumed the whole handle was chrome....smh.

I have a Sport and the top is chrome and bottom is body color. I didn't notice it at first because I have silver body color. Neat detail. I believe the Mercedes has it too.
