Buying a QX30 that won't start

I have a deal on a QX30 that won't start for $8000 with low age and mileage.

The car seems to be mechanically ok, like it was just an electrical prob. It is impossible to know more about it because the car comes from an auction lot.

I am wondering if it is worth even considering the repair is to cost a lot. But…
How much is a lot? considering that the right price for this car is more than $20000.

Let’s say, is it possible to cost the repair up to $10000?, even in this case, it seems to be a good deal, doesn't it?

What do you think?

What is your skill level as a mechanic? Do you have access to the tools necessary to diagnose and repair the vehicle? Do you have the time to do so?

For someone that has the knowledge/skill, tools, and time, then it can be a good deal.

For everyone else, RUN AWAY.
I am not planning to repair it myself, I was referring to taking the car to Nissan or Mercedes-Benz.
But in that case, I am afraid you already answered the question :(
Do you think I can get a bill of more than $10000?
(forgot to say I am in Europe, where Infiniti is gone, I would need to take it to Nissan or Mercedes)
Don't even bother with the car. For that price range you should get something that is running and driving really well. Do you have any Honda/Acura dealers or Toyota/Lexus dealers near you? I would try to look at cars from those companies for your price range (I'm assuming $18,000).

Run away. If you're going to be paying market-rates for rebuilding the car then it's not worth it.

I don't know how much it'll cost, but I have certainly seen bills that exceed $10k.

Hi I wouldn't bother with it. There could be a number of things wrong with the car. I can imagine that to fix it could be very expensive. My QX30 is currently in the shop! Has been back and forth in the shop since I purchased it in October of 2019. Thank GOD Infinity has been working with me, keeping me in an upgraded loaner, and now repurchasing the car. My advice to you is don't gamble with your money.
