It should work within fob range. So if you can reliably lock/unlock from 40 feet then windows should also work.
There is no issue of range for lock and unlock. It is the window feature that is disabled unless you are at the door of the vehicle.I know this may sound stupid but if you point the key right up and into your head and press the key fob, it can extend the range. I do this sometimes and it works when I'm far away and forgot to lock my car.
Do you have a button for this on your fob? I just have the lock, unlock, and panicAm i missing something here? What is the point of the all four windows down feature via the key fob if I have to be standing literally next to the car for it to work? It would be much better suited to work from inside my house or inside work from 40 feet away. I mean I can lock and unlock it from there with ease. At least from there my car has a chance of airing the 150 degree internal heat in the summer before I get to it. It doesn't really help if I can only do it 3 seconds before I get into the car.
For real, am I missing a setting somewhere that is handcuffing this feature to do basically nothing for me?
No, If you are at the car door and click the unlock once and then click and hold it a second time the windows will go down. Also works with the lock in the same way to close all the windows.Do you have a button for this on your fob? I just have the lock, unlock, and panic
I tried that on my car and it didnt work. May not be something the 2017 can do. Thank you anyways. No, If you are at the car door and click the unlock once and then click and hold it a second time the windows will go down. Also works with the lock in the same way to close all the windows.
