Just got my 2018 Qx30 AWD Premium on 8/25. Love it over all. But a few deficiency makes it not as enjoyable as it can be.
1. Road noise.
2. Back row seat back too straight.
3. No individual reading lamps in the back row.
4. Hard to adjust audio, such as Fade and balance.
5. No quick navigation canceling option.
6. Touch Screen already dead. Needs to go to the dealer.
7 Blind Spot option is lumped with other non-essentials into a package.
8. No auto driver side seat retraction function.
9. My 2012 Nissan Quest LE has more convenient options than this does.
Sigh!

I agree with most of your assessments and these things are really hard to pick up during a test drive. After researching 10+ cars before deciding on the QX30 AWD Premium with all options, I came to the conclusion that no car ticks all the boxes. Every once in a while when I'm driving with someone in the rear seat, I think that I should have gotten a bigger car; my second choice was a Subaru Outback Limited. There are some things that would have made the Outback much better for longer drives, especially with a passenger sitting behind me. However, my QX30 is just so techy and modern. LED exterior lights, LED interior lights (my car has reading lamps in the back row, by the way), a very modern engine and transmission, and excellent driving dynamics.

At first I was really annoyed with several things...not so much now. Partly because I've just accepted the car for what it is, and partly because not all of those things are all that important (ex. auto unlocking the doors when turning the car off, not being able to turn the headlights off; both of which were options on my last car). Reliability on the other hand, is pretty important (if you bought it, at least); of course it's too soon to say one way or another on that. But these little things have mostly faded for me now.

Hello

Hey everyone!
I am about to be a new QX30 owner. My wife doesn't like it.......so I am getting it and she wants a bigger SUV kinda car! Oh lord!

In anycase, I would like to pimp it out to my liking. I'm gonna start with the stereo by adding a amp and my Kenwood sub box from my other car.

I cannot find SQUAT about the stereo or speakers in this car!!!!! ARGH!

Can anyone send me links or info?

[email protected]

Thanks!
Roy

Welcome.

Infiniti is due to release a new QX50 and at this rate it should scoop up a lot of you that always wanted a Q30/QX30 with more to it. Simple recipe anyways as what its always been with Infiniti.

We'd look at it if they fix the styling. The current model is one of the worst looking vehicles, sold today.
