Navigation Voice Command - Does Your's Work?
Hi All. I am in Southern California. I have a 2017 QX30 and have been pleased for most of 2 years so far, however my only disappointment with the vehicle that continues to frustrate me is the lack of intelligence in the Navigation and Voice Command system. No matter how clearly and slowly I speak, the system doesn't seem to "hear me" efficiently, will respond with a list of destinations unrelated to my request, and if I test the system by saying something typical like "McDonald's", it will give me a list starting with a McDonald's 450 miles away proving it doesn't know where I am and create a list closest to furthest. In addition to it being inefficient, it speaks so slowly I want to speed it up but don't know where that setting it. I was unable to test the Navigation system when I test drove it back then. If I knew it was just for looks and I would be using my phone for GPS, then I would not have paid the extra for it. Does anyone else have this issue with their nav system, or know if there is a system update that has been created and how to acquire it? The dealership has no clue!
Is just my Nav system broken or do others have a similar experience?
