Default Adaptive Headlight Adjustment

Hello folks!

I just leased a GS QX30 not too long ago, and am noticing the adaptive LED headlight (AFS) is aiming a bit lower than what I was used to, and want to know how to raise it a bit.

I opened the hood but the only adjustment I can do is left and right, not up and down. I know there should be AFS sensor somewhere near the wheel joints but I couldn't find them.

Has anyone raised your LED headlights? I just want a few inches up!

Thanks!
FT

Been wondering the same thing. I think mine are titled/rotated slightly judging by the cutoff when viewed up close to a wall. I'm good with the height, though. I plan on asking the dealer when I'm in next. Could you just take it in and have them do it or show you? Let me know if you find anything out.

Based on my past experience with cars, most dealers will simply waste your time and tell you that they are in factory specification. i am planning to take it to a shop this weekend and raise it up to look underneath. There should be a few sensors somewhere!!

Sorry, I couldn't find any sensors around the wheel joints.

I am going to post the same question over at GLA forum to see if they know their AFS sensor locations.

This is getting super annoyed!

I'm not sure if there is a separate adjustment for the Adaptive Headlights or if it's different from the non-LED headlight housing, but there is a philips screw adjustment on each headlight for up/down. It is more towards the rear of the housing vs. on top like the side-to-side adjustment is.

I can snap a pic if needed.

I looked everywhere near the headlight housing but couldn't find anything other than the side-to-side adjustment.

Do you mind taking a few pictures and post them here?

BTW, where in Philly Suburbs do you locate? I am in 19087, and I haven't seen a single QX30 on the road.

Attached is a picture of the adjustment screws for the non-LED headlights. I'm curious if the LED headlight adjustments are different.

I work in 19087 but live in 19465. I haven't seen many QX30s on the road in the area yet neither.

I love your pointing arrows with text! As you may already know, there is a thunderstorm in action today, so i cannot do it now outside at work. I will open up the hood tonight at home and will verify!

I am really hoping LED headlights DO have the same but we will see.

Thank you very much 6t8stang! We should grab some lunch sometimes!
