The 14 Most Revolutionary Cars That Changed the World
One hundred and thirty years is a long time.
That’s the age, more or less, of the automotive industry and naturally, its history is steep. Thousands of makes and models have come and gone over the decades, but only a few have really revolutionized the way auto manufacturers do business.
These are the vehicles that made everyone sit up and take notice. The ones that reshaped the North American automotive landscape.
Narrowing the field down to just one vehicle per decade was not easy. We focused on cars, trucks and SUVs that changed the industry specifically in North America, although that doesn’t mean it had to specifically be a North American vehicle. So, here are the 14 vehicles that changed the world and a few honorable mentions as well.
Caravan is one that really hits a special cord with me since I grew up in a number of them and owned 2 of them myself. It's gotten to the point it's almost an impulse buy. But these days with the drastic changes in the market i'm open to just about anything and my needs for space have diminished... hence why i'm here.
I know what you mean, it's one segment American car makers do well at and now Chrysler has the Pacifica which is a luxurious van, a great successor to the Town and Country. It's actually the first time I'll consider something from FCA's luxury division.
It's actually more than just your typical van and for that reason they will scoop up a lot of people coming from different segments. Might even be the case of some people choosing it between an Infinti QX60, since it can be said they compete with eachother.
